Spiritual Formation...

The process of being conformed to the image of Christ by the gracious working of God’s spirit, for the transformation of the world.

And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. ~2 Corinthians 3:18 ~ (NIV)

 The ministry of Spiritual Growth is foundational here at Chester in supporting individuals on their journey of Spiritual development.  This is evident in our vision here at Chester UMC:  To be rooted in God, to grow in Christ and to bear fruit in the Spirit.  One of our defined core values here at Chester is to nurture the spiritual formation of children, youth and adults.

The main venue that is used here at Chester to support individuals on the journey are Small groups.  Through connecting with a small group it is hoped that an individual will embark upon a life-long learning and nurturing experience that will change the way you live.
