SMALL GROUPS AT CHESTER UMC

Acts 5:42 "Day after day, in temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Christ."

 Purpose of Small Groups:

  • To support members in the process of life-long learning and spiritual growth in a climate of mutual support and accountability.
  • To support members in experiencing growing in Christ together through areas and topics of life application.

When:

  • Small groups form at key strategic times throughout the year at CUMC, specifically, Fall (Oct - Nov), Winter (Jan - Feb), Spring (April - May) and Summer (July - Aug).
  •  There are preceding promotional months in September, December,  March and June.
  •  The day and time the groups convene vary based upon the participants discretion.

Who:

  •  Small groups at CUMC are open to everyone!  Members and non-members, your neighbors, friends, family, as well as members of the community.
  • Review the small group offerings each quarter.
  •  Register during promotion months at the small group table in the Atrium or in the pew pads.

Interested in leading a small group?

The steps to become a leader are easy!

1.  Complete a small group suggestion/idea form.

2. Meet with our Small group coordinator or DSF to discuss your idea/theme/topic.

3.  Attend small group leader training.

4.  Attend small group leader retreat.
